ARTICLE: Possible Pasts in a Universe of Universes [back to article]

Hi Richard,

I like the analogy of a loaf although I use the idea of a whole pie instead, but I would argue there is an obvious way of slicing the loaf or the pie. Since we invariably are slicing the whole of all universes in the multiverse, and inline with Tegmark's idea the universe is ultimately a mathematical system, I will call the whole zero, and think of it as the ground state. We can...

I believe this sentence:"Today, it is thought that a universe, such as our own, is born into an energy state known as a "false vacuum," called 'false' because, unlike the 'true' vacuum in which our universe abides, it is

unstable." ..is icorrect?, it is stating a "Universe such as our own" eminates from a "FALSE-VACUUM" energy state, and then states that our Universe is abiding within a "TRUE-VACUUM" ?

Which is it?..either way the initial inflation period, determines a constriant upon particles and their future evolving interactions, by virtue of a dimensional factor, a stable proton within a 3+1 dimension, will react by decay, different to that of a proton contained within a dimension 4+1, 5+1, 6+2...up to 6+20.

You cannot model a stable Proton in another "Pocket Universe" other than 3+1, this is what determines the stability, example a single water molocule inside another Pocket Universe that is not of dimensional status 3+1, is quite literaly NOT a water molocule?

The stability and unstability (decay periods of our Atomic period table is the unstability within our Universe) is

Universal, and there is no other dimensional landscape other than a 3+1 spacetime, there is a Quantum landcape emmbedded within our Universe of 3+1, increasing the dimensional landscape into higher numbers, increases the instability of fundemental Proton?

Place a single Proton into a false dimension, and watch it decay instantly!

I hope there are no observers with the knowledge of other "pocket universes", if they clasp their eyes upon a neighbouring "other universe", they will collapse it, and all of its contents, including observers within, into a state of cat-like existence?..if other pocket Universes exist, then the fact of initial state"true or false" would have a probability factor, related by observational measure?

The observational signal one could obtain of other probable Universe, would be altered by the act of observation, therefore for any determined other universe, viewed from within a patch of this Universe, that is 3+1, would instal an instant constraint, it would become enveloped "INTO" this Universe, would become stable?
