Who is the National Philanthropic Trust?
The National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) is an independent public charity dedicated to increasing philanthropy in society. What are you doing to minimize overhead costs, and maximize the amount of funds going to researchers?
FQXi is a "virtual institute," existing almost entirely online, with no building or excessive administrative structure. Where we can, we outsource tasks to other institutions that can do them better and cheaper: for example, much of our grant administration is done by the National Philanthropic Trust, a specialist in grant management, so that we do not have to hire a grant manager.
